Our Mission

Not a lot of shows have deep themes, challenging material, or complex plots.  Many shows available for teenagers and young adults have simpler stories and surface-level characters.  While these shows are not objectionable, nor necessarily poor quality, they are only 2-dimensional.  They paint a picture, even a colorful one, but the underlying themes, multi-faceted characters, and intrinsic plot details are missing.  3-D Theater tackles scripts with deep meanings that touch audiences below the mere surface, creating a 3-dimensional production.

In this day and age, it is hard to find a place where one can participate in deep, genuine art does not compromise his or her values.  We should not have to choose between good art and a good environment wherein to create it!  At 3-D Theater, we take care to uphold the value and dignity of our actors, crew, and even audience members (because they are making themselves vulnerable to the art we are presenting).  We want to hold ourselves accountable and give our community shows that reflect what is true, good, and beautiful.

Theater is more than just a hobby here: when actors and crew members sign on with 3-D Theater, they are dedicating themselves to putting in their all and seeing the show through to the last fall of the curtain!  Not everyone in the company has given their entire lives to the arts, of course.  Once they walk through the door to rehearsal, the show becomes top priority.  Actors and crew alike give stage blood, lots of real sweat (especially during the 2024 power outage), and many tears (both on and sometimes offstage).  And we always persevere to bring audiences the beautiful, fabulous production into which we have poured our bodies, minds, and hearts for the last several months!
